The Well-Caffeinated Mom by Wining Wife™ is a family lifestyle blog about running a household on lots of coffee with lots of life in the background. Blog topics include parenting, homeschooling, marriage, food and drink (coffee, tea, wine, spirits, etc.), reading and book reviews, crafting and hobbies, home improvement, board gaming, volunteering, outdoors, scouting, and more. Who Is The Well-Caffeinated Mom?
Ronda Bowen (Owner/Writer/Editor) is The Well-Caffeinated Mom. Ronda is a mom to 5 kids, ages 2, 6, 8, 10, and 25. She spent her young adult years as a single mom studying philosophy. When she decided that graduate school and her goals weren’t matching up, she left and began her career as a freelance writer and editor.
She has homeschooled her children for a cumulative total of a dozen years and plans to continue homeschooling them to graduation.
Ronda Bowen is also a Girl Scouts troop leader and volunteers for The Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartlands’ Gold and Silver Awards Committees. She serves as the Director of Fundraising and Communications for J.B. Dondolo, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps serve communities with clean water needs.
Since starting her business in 2008, when she received my first assignment as a contract writer, she has published more than 1200 articles on various subjects, including entertainment, homeschooling, parenting, business management, entrepreneurship, wine, sports (especially baseball and college sports), education, history, project management, philosophy, and social theory.
Her work has appeared in various journals, including In-Spire Journal of Law, Politics, and Societies, Women in the XXI Century, What Philosophy Can Tell You about Your Lover, and Native America, a State-by-State History. She is also a co-author of the book Success in Life Through Personality Engineering (June 2011) with Murali Chemuturi.
The Well-Caffeinated Mom started as several blogs and is now woven into a single blog: It is primarily Wining Wife®, with new posts and posts from Activism My Way, Just a Secular Homeschooler, and Ronda B. Handmade added in. Ronda Bowen is also a member of the Rebel Badge Club and enjoys earning badges just like her Girl Scouts troop members do.
