I love to travel. I don’t do it nearly enough at the moment, but hopefully that will change later this year. For Christmas, I got a couple of travel books for exploring Kansas, and I’m really excited to do that and write about where we go. Near the end of last year, I shared an amazing book by National Geographic, Journeys of a Lifetime. I’m happy to say that I had the opportunity to review another travel book from National Geographic: 100 Parks 5000 Ideas.
This book is the kind of feast for the eyes that we’ve come to expect from National Geographic. It highlights National, State, and City parks across the U.S. and Canada. There are places like the Everglades in there, but there are also places like Wichita Mountains Wildlife Reserve in Oklahoma – a place that I’m sure those living around this area knew about but that I had no idea existed. Not only does it mention the park, but readers can learn about the different activities they can undertake in the area. It’s a great reference for anyone needing an adventure – whether for a weekend or a week.
